Quick summary
OQUEA currently does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. We only use technologies needed to log you in, keep your account secure and remember preferences you set, such as language or units.
That's why we do not show a consent banner right now. If we introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we'll ask for your permission before activating them.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser when you visit it. They let the site recognise your device, remember your preferences or keep a session open.
In this policy we use "cookies" broadly to also refer to similar technologies for storing or accessing information in your browser, such as localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB or other necessary technical identifiers.
2. Why aren't we showing a cookie banner?
We don't currently show a consent banner because we don't use cookies or similar technologies for analytics, advertising, profiling or tracking purposes.
The technologies we use are strictly necessary to provide the service you request or to remember preferences you have chosen, so they do not require prior consent under the applicable Spanish and EU rules.
3. Technologies OQUEA uses today
We distinguish between two types of technologies exempt from consent:
- Strictly necessary technical technologies. They allow you to log in, keep authentication active, ensure security and provide the Platform.
- Personalisation technologies chosen by the user. They let us remember preferences you configure, such as language or units. These preferences are not used to analyse your behaviour, build profiles or show ads.
The following table summarises the technologies we use:
| Technology | Provider | Purpose | Type | Approximate duration | Requires consent? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Firebase Authentication (IndexedDB and, depending on browser, technical cookies) | Google Firebase | Keep you logged in, authenticate you and protect your account | Strictly necessary | While the session is active or until you log out / clear browser data | No |
localStorage oq_lang | OQUEA | Remember the language you've chosen | User-chosen personalisation | Until you change it or clear browser data | No |
localStorage oq_units | OQUEA | Remember your preferred units: metres/feet, bar/psi, °C/°F | User-chosen personalisation | Until you change it or clear browser data | No |
These technologies also help protect the security of your account, prevent unauthorised access and maintain session integrity.
This policy applies to the OQUEA informational website (oquea.com) and
the application accessible at app.oquea.com. Some technical
technologies are only activated when you access the app, log in or use
specific functionalities.
4. Technologies we don't use today
To leave no doubt, as of today:
- We don't use Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics or any other web-analytics tool.
- We don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels from ad platforms.
- We don't use social-network cookies or social widgets that track your browsing across sites.
- We don't sell usage information or share it with third parties for advertising, commercial, profiling or cross-site tracking purposes. The technical processing required to provide the Platform may involve technology providers, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Sign-in with Google
If you choose to sign in with Google, you may be redirected to Google services to complete authentication. During that process, Google may use its own cookies or similar technologies under its own policies. OQUEA does not control the cookies Google uses on its own domains or interfaces.
6. External links and services
Our Platform may contain links to external services, such as authentication providers, email, social networks, WhatsApp or other third-party services.
When you access those services outside OQUEA, those third parties may use their own cookies or similar technologies under their respective policies. OQUEA does not control those technologies when they run on third-party sites or applications.
7. What happens if we add analytics, advertising or measurement later?
If we introduce non-essential cookies or similar technologies (e.g. Firebase Analytics, campaign measurement or marketing tools), we will enable a configuration panel that lets you accept, reject or modify consent by category, with rejecting being as easy as accepting, before activating any such technology.
You'll be able to withdraw consent at any time from this policy or your profile.
8. How to manage cookies and storage in your browser
You can always accept, reject or delete cookies and local-storage data from your browser's settings. Instructions for the most common browsers:
Note that if you block cookies or local storage you may not be able to stay signed in to OQUEA and may have to log in each time.
If you're using a shared device or a device at a centre, we recommend signing out when you finish and, if you prefer, clearing browser data.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when we introduce new tools, change providers or when legal requirements change. The current version is always the one published on this Site, with its date and version number at the top.
When the change is purely informational, technical or a provider update that does not affect the use of non-essential cookies, we will update the date of this policy.
When the change involves introducing non-essential cookies or technologies, we will obtain the required consent before activating them.
